Aster DEX tops the ranking of perp DEX tokens that held their token generation event (TGE) in the past year by a wide margin. With 256,000 holders, the platform has roughly five times as many participants as the number two, RollX with 50,300 holders. That is according to data from CryptoRank.io, published on 3 September 2026.

In brief:

  • Aster DEX leads the ranking of perp DEX tokens with 256,000 holders, well ahead of RollX (50,300) and GRVT (30,900).
  • GRVT only launched in July but already ranks third in terms of holder numbers.
  • At the bottom of the list is Paradex with just 582 holders.

Aster DEX is by far the leader in holders

Among the perp DEX platforms that held a TGE in the past year, Aster DEX is the undisputed leader. The 256,000 holders of the Aster token tower above the competition. RollX follows in second place with 50,300 holders, ahead of GRVT with 30,900.

Further down the list, edgeX sits in fourth place with 16,100 holders, while Lighter has 7,300 and Backpack 5,100. Paradex brings up the rear with just 582 holders of the DIME token.

GRVT stands out despite late start

A notable name in the ranking is GRVT. The platform only launched in July 2026, yet it has already attracted more holders in a short space of time than most other perp DEX platforms on the list. With 30,900 holders, it already occupies third place.

The growth of decentralised trading platforms for perpetual contracts aligns with a broader trend that is also visible in the growth of DeFi wallets. Ethereum, the network on which many of these platforms run, was trading at $2.400 at the time of writing, up 1.2% over the past 24 hours.
