Binance delists seven USDC pairs, Upbit warns about SOPH
Binance and Upbit are taking action against a series of tokens this week. The world’s largest crypto exchange is delisting seven USDC spot trading pairs on 25 September because of insufficient liquidity and trading volumes. At the same time, the South Korean exchange Upbit has placed the token Sophon (SOPH) under a trading warning and suspended deposits, because the project falls short on transparency and information provision.
In brief:
- On 25 September, Binance will remove the USDC trading pairs for AIXBT, DOLO, ENJ, HUMA, SXT, TNSR and TURTLE.
- The underlying tokens will remain available through other trading pairs on Binance.
- Upbit has placed SOPH under a trading warning and may delist the token if the problems are not resolved.
Binance scraps seven pairs on 25 September
On 25 September at 03:00 UTC, Binance will take the USDC spot trading pairs for seven tokens offline: AIXBT, DOLO, ENJ, HUMA, SXT, TNSR and TURTLE. The exchange cites insufficient liquidity and trading volumes that are too low.
The tokens themselves will not disappear from the platform. They will remain available through other trading pairs, so that users can continue to manage their positions. Binance says it periodically reviews all listed spot pairs and intervenes when performance lags.
Upbit warns about Sophon after poor transparency
Upbit, South Korea’s largest crypto exchange, has designated Sophon (SOPH) as a token subject to a trading warning. Deposits have been suspended with immediate effect. The exchange points to a series of shortcomings: the project does not provide relevant information in a timely manner, the plans around the circulating supply are unclear, and the procedures for changes lack the necessary transparency.
The warning status applies from 22 September at 15:00 Korean time until the second week of October 2026, somewhere between 12 and 16 October. If Sophon does not resolve the identified problems during that period, Upbit may decide to delist the token entirely.
