Binance introduces Binance Agent OS, a development platform that connects AI applications and agents with the capabilities of the exchange through user-defined permissions. The platform bundles several existing Binance services and adds support for the Model Context Protocol. Tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code can thereby use Binance functionalities in a standardised way, without users having to manage API keys locally themselves.

In brief:

  • Binance launches Agent OS, a platform that connects AI tools with trading functions on the exchange.
  • Through the Model Context Protocol, tools such as Claude and ChatGPT can retrieve market data and carry out transactions.
  • Withdrawals to external addresses are blocked and all interactions run through an isolated subaccount.

Agent OS bundles existing services in one platform

Binance Agent OS brings the Binance API, Binance Wallet Agentic Hub, Binance x402 and Binance Skill Hub together in one environment for developers. In addition, the platform supports the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that enables AI tools to communicate with external services in a uniform manner.

The goal is to reduce fragmentation within AI integrations. Instead of separate connections, developers should now be able to work from a single platform with a clear overview of available functions. Binance states that the launch lays the foundation for further expansion of wallet capabilities and developer tools.

Claude, ChatGPT and VS Code gain access to trading functions

Through the Binance MCP Server, compatible tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and VS Code can directly use Binance liquidity and trading functions. Once a user gives permission, these tools can request market data, execute spot trading, transfer funds and place futures trades.

Binance imposes a number of restrictions in this regard. Withdrawals to external addresses are not possible via the MCP Server. In addition, all interactions take place through a separate subaccount that is disconnected from the main account, so that users’ funds remain protected.
