Spot Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs saw significant inflows on 4 August. According to data from SoSoValue, more than $265 million flowed into these funds in total, with BlackRock as the biggest driver on both sides.

Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.

In brief:

  • Spot Bitcoin ETFs received $211 million in net inflows on 4 August, led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $170 million.
  • Spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $53.7 million in inflows, with BlackRock’s ETHA accounting for $42.5 million.
  • The Bitcoin price is around $64.021 at the time of writing, up 0.7% in the past 24 hours.

BlackRock dominates Bitcoin ETF inflows

On 4 August, spot Bitcoin ETFs collectively registered $211 million in net inflows. The lion’s share came from BlackRock’s IBIT, which accounted for as much as $170 million. This makes IBIT once again responsible for the vast majority of total daily inflows into the Bitcoin ETF market.

The Bitcoin price has been moving around $64.000 for some time and stands at $64.021 at the time of writing. SoSoValue’s chart shows that daily inflows have been volatile over the past few months, with both large green and red outliers. The day of 4 August stands out positively in that regard.

Ethereum ETFs follow with strong inflows

Ethereum ETFs also performed well on 4 August. Total net inflows came to $53.7 million, with BlackRock’s ETHA leading the way at $42.5 million. This makes ETHA responsible for the vast majority of Ethereum ETF inflows that day.

BlackRock’s strong position in both Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs is striking. The company is also active in other areas of the crypto sector, such as tokenised funds. The combination of inflows into both ETF categories on the same day points to broad interest from institutional investors in crypto on that date.
