The US spot Bitcoin ETFs closed 29 July with a net inflow of $32.11 million. BlackRock dominates the picture with a substantial inflow into its IBIT fund, although outflows at other funds temper the overall result. On the Ethereum side, there are also positive developments to report, notably thanks to a new product from Morgan Stanley.

Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.

BlackRock draws in nearly $90 million

According to data from SoSoValue, BlackRock’s IBIT was responsible for the largest inflow of the day at $89.83 million. That sounds positive, but outflows at other Bitcoin ETF providers bring the net total to $32.11 million. The Bitcoin price stands at $64K at the time of writing, a slight drop of 0.7% over the past 24 hours.

Today’s inflow is modest compared with earlier peak moments, but it does represent a recovery from the recent outflow period that Bitcoin ETFs experienced. The market thus shows that institutional interest in Bitcoin via ETFs remains present, even in a period of relatively low trading volumes.

Morgan Stanley scores with new Ethereum product

On the Ethereum side, the news is equally positive. The recently launched Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust, known under the ticker MSSE, recorded the largest inflow among spot Ethereum ETFs at $14.30 million. Morgan Stanley previously launched products focused on Ethereum and Solana, and the first inflow figures point to serious interest from the institutional side.

The performance of the Ethereum ETFs stands in contrast to an earlier period when Bitcoin ETFs saw capital leave while Ethereum recorded inflows. Both markets now appear to be moving positively at the same time, although total inflow figures remain limited in size for now.
