Bitcoin ETF sees $131 million outflow on August 13
On August 13, US Bitcoin spot ETFs showed a combined net outflow of $131 million. The lion’s share of that outflow is down to ARKB, the joint fund of ARK Invest and 21Shares. Ethereum ETFs, by contrast, saw a modest inflow.
Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.
In short:
- US Bitcoin spot ETFs saw $131 million flow out on August 13, with ARKB responsible for the largest share at $58.82 million.
- Ethereum spot ETFs bucked the trend with an inflow of $6.72 million, largely coming from the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF.
- The Bitcoin price stands at $63K at the time of writing, a decline of 1.5% over the past 24 hours.
ARKB is the biggest drain on Bitcoin ETFs
On August 13, US Bitcoin spot ETFs collectively recorded a net outflow of $131 million, according to data from SoSoValue. Earlier this week the Bitcoin ETFs also saw outflows, pointing to sustained selling pressure from these funds.
The fund weighing heaviest in the total outflow is ARKB, the joint Bitcoin ETF of ARK Invest and 21Shares. That fund saw $58.82 million leave on this day. The Bitcoin price, meanwhile, stands at $63K, which amounts to a loss of 1.5% over the past day.
Ethereum ETFs do post inflows
While Bitcoin ETF investors pull money out, things are moving in the opposite direction for the Ethereum equivalent. US Ethereum spot ETFs recorded a total net inflow of $6.72 million on August 13. That is a striking contrast with the situation for Bitcoin.
The largest contribution to that inflow comes from the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust ETF, which attracted $6.47 million. That accounts for almost the entire inflow of the day. The Ethereum price, incidentally, is also showing signs of recovery relative to Bitcoin, which may be linked to renewed interest from ETF investors in the Ethereum supply.
