US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $217 million in new inflows on the last day of August. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for the lion’s share, with approximately $206 million. Ethereum ETFs also performed well, receiving a total of $87.68 million, of which nearly $59.94 million came through BlackRock’s ETHA. Bitcoin is currently trading around $78K.

Bitcoin is available on Bitvavo and OKX.

In brief:

  • Spot Bitcoin ETFs received $217 million in inflows on 31 August, almost entirely from BlackRock’s IBIT.
  • Spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $87.68 million on the same day, with BlackRock’s ETHA as the largest contributor.
  • BlackRock manages approximately $15.3 trillion in assets worldwide, making it the world’s largest asset manager.

IBIT dominates Bitcoin ETF inflows

Of the total $217 million in inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs on 31 August, by far the largest share came from BlackRock’s IBIT. That fund alone attracted approximately $206 million, comfortably surpassing the other providers.

The figures are consistent with a broader trend. Earlier this week, Bitcoin ETFs attracted $924 million in a single week, indicating sustained demand from institutional investors. The combined asset base of all spot Bitcoin ETFs now stands at $99.61 billion.

Ethereum ETFs follow with strong inflows

Alongside Bitcoin ETFs, Ethereum ETFs also saw notable inflows on 31 August. A total of $87.68 million flowed in, an amount largely credited to BlackRock. The ETHA fund was responsible for $59.94 million of that total.

BlackRock manages approximately $15.3 trillion in assets worldwide and is regarded as the world’s largest asset manager. The company’s dominant position in both the Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF markets makes it a decisive player in the institutional adoption of crypto. Bitcoin, meanwhile, hovers around $78K, with attention focused on a potential breakout towards higher levels.
