Bitmine announces a significant expansion of its Ethereum position. The company collected 126,971 Ethereum tokens over the past week, raising its total holdings to 5.54 million ETH. This represents approximately 4.59% of the total Ethereum in circulation. With this move, Bitmine confirms its position as one of the largest holders of Ethereum on the market.

Ethereum is available at OKX and Bybit.

Massive crypto and cash position

The investment company reports a total value of crypto assets and cash of $9.6 billion. In addition to its enormous Ethereum holdings, Bitmine also holds 203 Bitcoin and has $247 million in cash reserves. A significant portion of the Ethereum positions, 4.72 million tokens, is in a staked position, meaning these tokens are used to earn returns on the Ethereum network.

Furthermore, Bitmine invested in alternative assets outside of traditional cryptocurrencies. The company held a $200 million stake in Beast Industries and an $88 million position in Eightco Holdings, demonstrating that the firm is pursuing diversification beyond pure cryptocurrency holdings.

Supported by experienced leadership

Bitmine is chaired by Tom Lee, a well-known figure in the crypto and traditional financial worlds. Operating under the ticker BMNR, the company is a specialist in cryptocurrency and digital asset investments. These strategic purchases of Ethereum come at a time when Ethereum is making various price movements on the market.

Bitmine’s aggressive accumulation strategy suggests strong confidence in the future value of Ethereum. With over 5 million tokens in its possession, the company proves that large institutional players are still actively acquiring crypto assets, despite market volatility.
