BTC inflow on Binance doubles due to panic selling under $60K
The recent drop of the Bitcoin price below $60K is causing a new wave of panic among investors. This is evident from the rising inflow of Bitcoin to Binance, which has now doubled compared to April. Analyst Darkfost reviews the figures and explains what this means for the market.
Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.
Doubling of inflow on Binance
Since 13 April, the average monthly Bitcoin inflow on Binance has risen from 3,880 BTC to 7,600 BTC. This is a doubling that shows that a portion of holders are moving their coins to exchanges to sell. At a price of around $63.000. those 7,600 BTC represent roughly $479 million in potential selling pressure on Binance alone. The Bitcoin price stands at $62K at the time of writing, a slight increase of 0.5% over the past 24 hours.
The pattern is not new. Earlier in this bear market, we saw comparable spikes in inflow. In November 2025, when Bitcoin fell back to $84K, the average inflow on Binance rose to over 9,000 BTC. In February 2026, during the test of the $60K level, it stood at 8,800 BTC. The current inflow of 7,600 BTC is therefore lower than those earlier peaks, but remains significant and points to sustained selling pressure in the short term. As the analyst previously described, every dip below a psychological level triggers a similar reflex among investors.
The $60K level as a battleground
According to Darkfost, the $60K boundary is developing into a real battleground, where the struggle between weak and strong hands is most intense. On one side are investors who panic sell as soon as the price dips below this level. On the other side are parties who use the weakness precisely to buy more and strengthen their position. At this price level, the largest transfer of Bitcoin between these two groups of investors is currently taking place.
Yet there is a cautiously positive signal. The analyst points out that the inflow tends to decline as the correction continues, which means selling pressure could weaken. The Bitcoin price is currently in a sideways zone around $62.000. which aligns with the decreasing pressure visible in the inflow data. Whether that is enough to trigger a recovery remains to be seen for now.
