Ethereum price approaches crucial RSI level after months of decline
The Ethereum price is at a crucial turning point. Analyst TedPillows points to a striking pattern that has repeatedly emerged since August 2025: every time the daily RSI exceeds 65, Ethereum forms a local top within two to three days. Now, the RSI has again risen above that level, while the price trades around $1.900 with a gain of 2.4% over the past 24 hours.
Ethereum is available at OKX and Bybit.
A pattern that keeps repeating
Since Ethereum formed a top in August 2025, the price has followed a downward structure. Multiple instances are visible on the daily chart where the RSI climbed above 65, followed by a sharp decline. This pattern repeats time and again: a brief uptick, the RSI hitting the threshold, and then another drop. The bears have consistently held the initiative so far.
TedPillows states that exactly this pattern is now occurring again. The RSI stands at 67.53, and the question is whether history repeats itself or something else is going on.
When will the pattern break?
According to the analyst, this moment does not necessarily have to turn out negative. If Ethereum consolidates in the coming days instead of declining immediately, and the RSI gradually retreats without a new price drop, then that would be the first serious sign of a trend reversal since April 2025. Such a scenario would mean that the bearish structure is starting to break.
Earlier, the Ethereum price bounced off a crucial support level around $1.880, and the price also shot up 5.6% earlier after better-than-expected CPI data. The coming days will show whether Ethereum can finally start a more sustainable recovery move, or whether the RSI pattern of the past months will do its work again.
