Ethereum price remains stuck below $1.800 resistance
The Ethereum price just cannot seem to get a grip: for the fourth time in a week, ETH encounters stiff resistance around $1.800. At the time of writing, Ethereum stands at $1.750, an increase of 1.1% over the past 24 hours. Yet the coin fails to break through the important barrier, and according to analyst DaanCrypto, this says a lot about the strength of the sellers at this level.
Ethereum is available at OKX and Bybit.
Sellers hold firm at $1.800
DaanCrypto points to a clear pattern in the Ethereum price: every attempt to break through $1.800 is pushed back. That the resistance now holds for a fourth time shows that there is significant selling pressure at this level. Each time ETH approaches the zone, sellers spring into action en masse and push the price back down.
This kind of repeated rejection at the same level forms a technical signal that investors take seriously. As long as Ethereum does not close convincingly above $1.800, sentiment remains cautious. At the same time, there are few signs that the price will drop sharply in the short term.
$1.750 remains crucial support level
Alongside the resistance at $1.800, there is another level that DaanCrypto is watching closely: the zone around $1.750. This is seen as a higher timeframe horizontal and also as the bottom of the current range. As long as Ethereum stays above this level, the situation is relatively neutral.
On the lower timeframes, the ETH price is currently in a choppy, range-bound phase, according to the analyst. There is no clear direction, and the price moves back and forth between the two mentioned levels. For traders, this means patience is required until a clear breakout or breakdown occurs.
