Ethereum price sees bullish signals towards $2.400
Ethereum currently appears stronger than Bitcoin, according to analyst Michaël van de Poppe. He expects the Ethereum price to break to the upside and rise towards $2.400 or higher. This could reverse the downward trend, something Van de Poppe compares to a striking period from the past.
Ethereum is available at OKX and Bybit.
Ethereum more bullish than Bitcoin
According to Van de Poppe, Ethereum is currently in a more attractive position than Bitcoin. The Ethereum price is trading around $1.800 at the time of writing, up 1.21% on the day. On the chart, the price is hovering around a horizontal level of $1.825, with a clear target zone drawn between $2.500 and $2.600.
The analyst sees a pattern in the current market structure that reminds him of June 2025, just before Ethereum made a major breakout. The RSI at the top of the chart shows a bullish divergence: lower lows in price, but higher lows in the indicator. That is classically a signal that selling pressure is decreasing and a turning point may be near.
What are the levels to watch?
On the daily chart, two key support levels are visible: $1.505 and $1.385. Those levels act as a lower boundary should the breakout fail to materialise. On the upside, the aforementioned target zone around $2.400 to $2.600 is a level where resistance previously lay and where the trend could reverse.
By comparison, Bitcoin is currently hovering around $64.000, with a slightly negative daily move of 0.4%. Van de Poppe is thus indirectly suggesting that Ethereum offers more potential in the short term. Whether the comparison with June 2025 becomes reality depends on whether the price manages to break above resistance in the coming days and attract volume.
