Crypto exchange Gate.io stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to capital inflows. In the past 24 hours, $547.45 million flowed to the platform, while its closest competitor Bybit had to make do with $76.61 million. That is a difference of more than $471 million.

In brief:

  • Gate received $547.45 million in 24 hours, the highest amount among major exchanges.
  • OKX and Bybit actually show a negative balance over seven days.
  • Gate holds an official MiCA licence in the European Union.

Gate far ahead of the rest

The figures paint a striking picture. While Gate brings in $547.45 million on a 24-hour basis, the rest of the list lags far behind. OKX takes third place with $67.53 million, and Bitfinex rounds out the top four with $25.46 million in inflows.

Over a seven-day period, the contrast is even greater. Gate also shows a positive balance of $609.7 million there, while OKX sees $561.9 million leave over the same period. Bybit records an outflow of $151.1 million over seven days. Only Bitfinex follows Gate with a positive weekly balance of $127.8 million.

MiCA licence in Europe

Gate.io is not only active when it comes to inflows. The platform also holds an official MiCA licence as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) in the European Union. That licence was granted by the Malta Financial Services Authority to the regional entity Gate Technology Ltd.

With that licence in hand, Gate may legally offer its services to European users, something an increasing number of exchanges are pursuing as European regulation tightens. The crypto market contracted broadly in the first half of 2026, but Gate’s inflow figures suggest that capital is still flowing towards certain platforms.
