New research from Binance shows that Gen Z is the dominant force behind the platform’s stablecoin-based equity products. The generation accounts for a significant portion of trading volume and is steadily increasing its share of Binance’s TradFi products month on month.

Gen Z leads stablecoin stock trading

Binance Research reports in a new report that Gen Z forms the largest user group for both Binance Direct Stocks and bStocks, each accounting for 44% of users. For TradFi-Perps, that share stands at 45%. Among users who utilise all three products, 48% are from Gen Z.

Moreover, Gen Z’s share of newly registered TradFi users is growing rapidly: from 41% in January 2026 to 47% in July this year. This group has collectively generated approximately $80 billion in TradFi trading volume so far this year, with monthly growth of around 24%. By comparison, only 15% of Millennials started investing during or shortly after their studies, whereas for Gen Z that figure is 30%. In addition, 77% of Gen Z report having received formal financial education.

Emerging markets play a central role

A striking finding from the report is that more than 90% of all TradFi users, across all generations, come from emerging markets. This indicates that stablecoin-based stock trading is particularly catching on in regions where access to traditional financial markets is limited or remains costly.

The figures show that younger generations are increasingly using crypto infrastructure to invest in traditional assets such as stocks. Binance is thus positioning itself as a bridge between the crypto market and classic financial products, with Gen Z as the clear driving force behind that shift. We previously wrote about Bitcoin movements on Binance, but the focus now turns to a very different segment of the platform.
