Hsiao-Wei Wang steps down as co-director of the Ethereum Foundation
Hsiao-Wei Wang leaves the Ethereum Foundation. After the end of her sabbatical, she announces that she is resigning as co-executive director and board member, effective immediately. In a lengthy statement, she reflects on her time at the organisation and indicates that the pause gave her the space to think about her priorities and the direction she wants to take.

Bastian led the transition during sabbatical
During her absence, Bastian (@aerugoettinea) took over and guided the transition within the Ethereum Foundation. Wang is grateful for that and praises the care with which he and others handled the process. She states that over time she became convinced that this is the right moment to step back.
Her departure follows a period of reflection. Wang indicates that she expects to spend more time closer to home, although her concrete next steps are not yet final. As for her role at the Ethereum Foundation: she continues to see herself as a proud member of the community, whether from within the EF or outside it.
Proud of what the Ethereum community has built
In her statement, Wang looks back with great appreciation on the broad Ethereum community. She says she is proud of what has been achieved, not only within the Ethereum Foundation itself, but also by the builders, researchers, educators, node operators, validators and users who together contribute to the ecosystem. According to her, the strength of Ethereum has always been greater than one person, one organisation or one moment.
Wang speaks of a shared goal: building a world that no one can shut out, with systems that are open, resilient and accessible to everyone. The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade is meanwhile approaching its final development phase, showing that the ecosystem continues unabated.
