Japanese listed company eole Inc. enters Hyperliquid. The company has purchased 1,078 HYPE, becoming the first listed company in Japan to acquire the token. The purchase is part of a broader strategy in which eole ultimately aims to hold 100 million yen worth of HYPE as a strategic digital asset.

Hyperliquid is currently at $53.63, a decline of 2.7% over the past 24 hours.

Hyperliquid is available at OKX and Bybit.

First purchase of over 10 million yen

On 28 July 2026, eole Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market under ticker 2334, bought exactly 1,078.25469311 HYPE. The total purchase price was 10,084,663.87 yen, equivalent to approximately $61.600. The average purchase price per token stood at 9,352.78 yen, or around $57.10.

The acquisition follows a previously announced strategy regarding digital assets, which was officially presented on 16 July 2026. In that announcement, eole stated that it plans multiple purchases, taking market movements and liquidity into account. The aim is to increase the total investment amount to 100 million yen before the end of August 2026, according to PR Times.

Neo Crypto Bank as strategic direction

eole holds HYPE as part of its so-called “Neo Crypto Bank” initiative. Through this, the company intends to further expand its activities in onchain finance and Web3. This is therefore not a speculative purchase, but a deliberate positioning within the growing decentralised finance ecosystem.

Hyperliquid has recently been gaining increasing attention as a serious player in the DeFi landscape. Earlier it emerged that Hyperliquid together with Pump.fun accounts for 67% of all crypto app revenue. eole’s move fits into a broader trend in which Asian companies are increasingly including crypto on their balance sheets as a strategic asset, similar to how Western companies use Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
