Neutrl opens an official redemption portal for holders of NUSD and sNUSD. Those who redeem their tokens receive USDC based on a fixed settlement rate derived from the protocol’s previously disclosed liquid reserves. An unconfirmed claim on X states that users will therefore receive only half of their deposit back.

In brief:

  • Neutrl opens a redemption portal for NUSD and sNUSD, in which redeemed tokens are burned and users receive USDC.
  • The portal is expected to remain open until 14 November 2026.
  • A user on X claims that the settlement rate is around 50%, but Neutrl has not confirmed this.

Fixed settlement rate based on liquid reserves

Through the Neutrl Redemption Portal, holders of NUSD and sNUSD can submit a redemption request. To do so, they must connect the wallet that holds the tokens and sign a message on the blockchain to confirm ownership. The portal displays the exact redemption details before a request is definitively submitted.

Those who complete the redemption receive USDC. The corresponding NUSD or sNUSD is then burned. The settlement rate is based on the reserves that Neutrl previously disclosed. The protocol had already reported that losses on its strategy had limited part of its reserve liquidity and that related smart contracts had been suspended.

Unconfirmed claim: half of deposit returned

According to Wu Blockchain, a claim is circulating on X that the current settlement rate is around 50% and that users must sign a liability waiver. Neutrl has not confirmed these claims.

The redemption contract has been audited by an external security auditor. Neutrl advises users to check that they are using the official URL of the portal before they connect a wallet or submit a transaction. The programme is expected to remain open until 14 November 2026. In April 2025, Neutrl raised $5 million in a seed funding round led by STIX and Accomplice. We previously wrote about the growing interest in crypto investments in 2026.
