ONE rises 700% from its low but is still 99% below its ATH
Harmony (ONE) has risen more than 700% from its all-time low, but at the same time it remains around 99% below the highest level the coin ever reached. That contrast shows how misleading price rises in altcoins can be, especially when they are detached from the broader historical picture.
In brief:
- ONE rose more than 700% from its all-time low, but remains nearly 99% below its all-time high.
- An analyst warns that large percentage gains in altcoins say nothing about full recovery.
- Altcoin season is often overestimated: the price moment can pass quickly.
700% up, but still deep in the red
On social media, enthusiasm about a possible altcoin season is growing, but analyst joao_wedson adds caveats. He points to the example of Harmony (ONE) to make clear how relative such gains are.
ONE reached a peak of nearly $0.38 in the 2021 bull market. After that, the price collapsed and the coin fell to a historic low. From that low, the price has since recovered by more than 700%, but in absolute terms ONE is trading around $0.0045 at the time of writing. That is still a loss of around 99% compared with the peak.
Altcoin season is a narrow window
According to the analyst, many investors forget this crucial distinction. A rise of 500%, 700% or more sounds spectacular, but when a coin has fallen 99% before that, such a move translates into barely any real price recovery.
He states that altcoin season is often a short price moment that can pass quickly. Anyone who enters on the basis of a percentage increase from the low, without looking at the distance to the historical high, can get a distorted picture of where a coin really stands.
The chart shared with the analysis makes that difference visible at a glance: the current price of ONE hovers just above zero on a scale where the 2021 peak dominates.
