The Japanese listed company Remixpoint sold all its altcoins on 1 September and will henceforth hold only Bitcoin. The company sold Ethereum, Solana, XRP and Dogecoin for a total of approximately 879 million yen, yielding a profit of around 118 million yen. After the sale, Remixpoint holds around 1,506 Bitcoin as its only crypto asset.

In short:

  • Remixpoint sold all its altcoins on 1 September, including ETH, SOL, XRP and DOGE.
  • The total sale proceeds amounted to roughly 879 million yen, with a profit of approximately 118 million yen.
  • The company retains only its Bitcoin position of around 1,506 BTC and will use a Bitcoin-focused strategy from now on.

Sale yields 118 million yen profit

Remixpoint sold around 901.45 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.19 million XRP and 2.8 million DOGE in total.

The Ethereum position generated a book profit of more than 60 million yen, while the Solana sale brought in nearly 49.3 million yen in profit. XRP resulted in a profit of over 11.5 million yen. Only Dogecoin was sold at a loss: that position produced a loss of approximately 3.3 million yen. On balance, the company booked a total profit of almost 118 million yen on the four sales.

Bitcoin as the sole pillar of the crypto strategy

Remixpoint says it made the decision after assessing market conditions, the risk-return profile of the various crypto assets and its own financial strategy. The company wants to concentrate its portfolio and improve capital efficiency by focusing entirely on Bitcoin.

With this move, Remixpoint follows a pattern that is also visible at other listed companies. Strategy recently added 4,603 Bitcoin for $370 million, while altcoins have struggled recently to keep pace with Bitcoin. Remixpoint is, after Metaplanet, the second-largest listed company in Japan active in the crypto sector. After the sale, Bitcoin, at $76.660, is the only crypto asset on the company’s balance sheet, with a position of around 1,506 BTC.
