Ripple receives full MiCA approval from Luxembourg
Ripple has announced that it has obtained full MiCA CASP authorisation from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, the CSSF. This gives the company the green light to offer cryptoasset services in all 30 countries of the European Economic Area. A major milestone in the company’s regulatory recognition.
XRP is available at OKX and Bybit. The price currently stands at $1.14, up by 0.3% in the past 24 hours.
Green light for European expansion
With the MiCA CASP certification, Ripple opens the door to a massive market area. The European Commission is imposing increasingly stricter supervision on crypto companies, and this authorisation proves that Ripple complies with all regulations. The company can now operate legally without restrictions in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and beyond.
The CASP status stands for Crypto Asset Service Provider and is essential for companies that want to grow in Europe. Ripple has been investigating for some time how best to adapt to the strict European rules, and this decision by the CSSF shows that it has succeeded.
What this means for Ripple
This recognition significantly strengthens Ripple’s position. The company can now present itself as a legitimate player in the regulated crypto sector. This also helps restore its image after years of lawsuits and regulatory uncertainty.
For users and partners, this is good news: Ripple can operate more transparently and expand its services in an increasingly large market area. The step aligns with broader developments in crypto regulation, where companies such as banks are also actively taking steps to expand their offerings.
