Robinhood Chain has experienced an outage in which block production came to a complete standstill for more than six minutes. This is evident from the network’s block explorer. Production has since resumed, although the initial resumption was intermittent.

Block production comes to a complete standstill

The Robinhood Chain block explorer showed that the network created no new blocks for more than six minutes. This points to an outage on the network side, during which the chain temporarily failed to function as intended.

WuBlockchain reported the situation via X. According to the account, block production had resumed intermittently at 21:06 UTC+8, and the explorer at that moment showed the most recent block with that timestamp.

Resumption in fits and starts

After the outage, new blocks did come in, but production was not immediately smooth. Several blocks were visible on the block explorer that had all been created six minutes earlier, which matches the reported timeline of the outage.

Robinhood Chain is the proprietary blockchain network of investment platform Robinhood. The network previously drew attention because of a memecoin season on the platform and also because the CEO of AMC criticised Robinhood over tokenised shares. Whether the outage had any impact on transactions or users has not yet been confirmed.
