Securitize lists on NYSE under ticker SECZ
Tokenisation platform Securitize is taking a major step: the company is officially listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker SECZ. This makes Securitize a publicly traded company and marks a milestone for the sector of tokenised real world assets (RWAs).
Regulated infrastructure for capital markets
Securitize positions itself as a builder of regulated infrastructure for the next generation of capital markets. The platform supports the issuance and trading of a wide range of real world assets via tokenisation technology. The IPO does not change that focus, the company says.
Proceeds from the IPO are expected to be used to further strengthen compliant infrastructure and expand tokenisation activities. This shows that Securitize takes the growth of this market segment seriously and wants to scale up structurally.
RWA tokenisation gains ground
Securitize’s listing fits into a broader trend in which tokenisation of physical assets is gaining increasing attention. However, the sector still faces challenges: recent research shows that 56% of tokenised RWAs show no weekly on-chain activity, indicating that the market is still very much developing.
The move to a public listing gives Securitize greater visibility and access to capital to tackle these challenges. With the NYSE as its home base and a clear mission around tokenising the global economy, the company aims for a central role in the future of digital capital markets.
