Solana is showing a promising move against Bitcoin. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe, known as @CryptoMichNL, states that Solana is breaking above crucial resistance levels on the daily timeframe for the first time since the summer of 2025. He sees this as a sign that the market is in a phase where dips in Solana can be bought, and expects a strong rally towards August or September.

Solana is available at OKX and Bybit.

Solana breaks above moving averages

On the chart, it is clearly visible that the SOL/BTC price went through a longer declining trend after the peak of October 2024. In recent weeks, however, Solana has made a notable turnaround. The pair is now breaking above the 21-day moving average and has flipped a previous resistance level into support, which is technically a positive signal.

According to Van de Poppe, Solana is now in a true uptrend against Bitcoin for the first time in a long while. This means that any pullback in price presents a buying opportunity, rather than a reason to sell. He indicates that he will be actively trading Solana in the coming months.

Rally expected until August or September

Van de Poppe expects the current move to last for months. He estimates that Solana will continue to rise until sometime in August or September 2026. The chart also shows that the RSI indicator is rising, which supports the strength of the current move.

It is worth noting that such analyses always come with risks. The broader crypto market also plays a role: Bitcoin currently stands at $60.400, up 2.9% in the past 24 hours. Whether Solana can sustain its momentum partly depends on how Bitcoin behaves in the coming weeks.
