The stablecoin reserves on Binance have reached their lowest level in more than a year. The stock falls to $41.9 billion, a level last seen in October 2025. That is striking, because it was precisely in that period that reserves rose sharply and Bitcoin shot to a new all-time high. Now the trend is pointing the other way.

In brief:

  • Stablecoin reserves on Binance fall to $41.9 billion, the lowest point in a year.
  • Binance accounts for more than 70% of all stablecoins available on exchanges.
  • The decline reflects weakening demand and reluctance among investors to actively deploy capital.

Decline underway for months

According to data from CryptoQuant, the stablecoin reserves on Binance have been declining since November 2025. At the time, reserves stood at nearly $50 billion. Since then, capital has steadily disappeared from the platform, and the reserves are now, for the first time in a long while, below the $42 billion mark.

What makes the figures all the more significant is Binance’s market share. Of all stablecoins available on exchanges, more than 70% are on Binance. A decline here therefore says quite a lot about the broader crypto market.

Investors pull back

Analyst Darkfost indicates that the decline reflects investor behaviour. Many people are choosing to limit their exposure to the market during this period, leading to more stablecoin withdrawals from the platform. This is in stark contrast to the situation around October 2025, when demand was strong and reserves rose sharply.

Bitcoin is trading at $63.700 at the time of writing, down 0.4% over the past 24 hours. The combination of declining stablecoin reserves and a weak Bitcoin price shows that investors are in no hurry to deploy capital for the time being. According to Darkfost, demand must first recover broadly before the trend can reverse.
