Strategy buys 1,550 Bitcoin and further expands reserves
Strategy continues its Bitcoin purchases, adding no less than 1,550 BTC to its reserves. The company invested approximately $101 million in the acquisition, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 845,256 BTC. At the same time, Strategy also increases its dollar reserves by $100 million to a total of $1 billion.
Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.
Back to buy mode after sale
The purchase marks a clear change of course for Strategy. Last week, the company sold 32 BTC, which it said was intended to fund distributions for preferred securities. Now Strategy is fully back in the Bitcoin market, significantly accelerating its buying rhythm.
This step underscores Strategy’s ongoing commitment to Bitcoin as a strategic asset. With the current Bitcoin price around $63.781. the company holds a substantial position in the largest cryptocurrency.
Billions in reserves for future moves
The announcement shows how Strategy is strengthening its financial position. With both significant Bitcoin and dollar reserves, the company has flexibility for future investments or actions. The billion dollars in liquid assets give the company options when opportunities arise in the Bitcoin market.
The combination of growing Bitcoin holdings and a strong cash position positions Strategy as a significant player in the crypto ecosystem. Against the backdrop of recent market volatility, Strategy shows that large institutional players continue to believe in the long-term value of Bitcoin.
