THEA raises $8 million for AI layer on Solana
The predictive AI network THEA announces that it has closed a strategic funding round of $8 million. The proceeds will go entirely towards developing infrastructure for behavioural artificial intelligence and the platform’s next growth transition.
Maven11 and Spartan Group lead investment round
The funding round is led by, among others, Maven11 Capital, Spartan Group, ManifoldTrading, HackVC and Fisher8 Capital. This demonstrates that interest from major investors in AI-based cryptocurrency solutions is steadily growing. THEA is using this capital to expand its operational AI infrastructure.
The company is specifically focused on establishing a coordination layer on Solana. This platform will ensure that inference requests, accounting and on-chain settlement take place via the Solana network. At the same time, computational processes will largely remain off-chain, ensuring efficiency and cost savings.
THEA Network makes its debut on Solana
THEA plans to roll out the THEA Network on the Solana blockchain. This network will serve as the backbone for coordinating the entire ecosystem. By betting on Solana, THEA benefits from the speed and low transaction costs the network offers. Solana is currently trading at $80.54, up 3% in the past 24 hours.
The strategic choice for Solana aligns with a larger trend in which AI projects are establishing themselves on fast, scalable blockchains. THEA’s predictive AI model requires rapid transactions and minimal latency to function optimally. By partnering with Solana, THEA aims to offer its users a better experience than is possible on slower networks.
