The XRP Ledger is unusually quiet as the price hovers just below $1.10. According to data from Santiment, on-chain activity has dropped to one of the lowest levels of the year, indicating that traders are waiting rather than actively trading.

XRP is available at OKX and Bybit.

On-chain activity drops to historic low level

The figures are striking. On the XRP Ledger, only 25,350 wallets are currently active per day, which is the second-lowest daily value of 2026. That is already low, but even more remarkable is the number of new wallets: only 2,130 new addresses are added daily, the lowest number since November 2024. The XRP price currently stands at $1.11, a decline of 0.7% in the past 24 hours.

The drop in activity follows a period of buying interest at the end of June, when traders bought the dip. Now that momentum has faded, the market appears to be in a wait-and-see mode. Users and investors are looking for a real catalyst before becoming active on the network again, rather than blindly jumping on a small increase.

Potential catalysts for network recovery

Despite the low activity, there are several factors that could change the situation. The growth of RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin, could attract new users to the network. In addition, there are opportunities around asset tokenisation, institutional use of XRP for payments, and possibly new lending tools that may become available in the future.

If market conditions improve and one of these developments gains momentum, it could quickly boost on-chain activity. For now, however, it remains a waiting game for the signal that traders need to start moving again. The current XRP price and developments can be followed via Blockchainstories.
