What is Render?

Render is a decentralised network that turns idle graphics cards into a global marketplace for computing power. Created by the cloud-graphics company OTOY and its founder Jules Urbach, it connects people who need heavy GPU work, such as 3D rendering, visual effects and increasingly AI, with operators who have spare GPUs to rent out. Its token, RENDER, formerly known as RNDR, is used to pay for jobs, reward providers and govern the network.

Launched in 2017 on Ethereum, the network later moved to Solana and rebranded, adopting a burn-and-mint model designed to tie the token’s supply to real network demand.

Following the live Render price

On this page you will find the live Render price in both US dollars and euros, with the context you need to read the market. The chart opens on the last 7 days by default, and you can switch to 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or a full year. Pick a period with the buttons and the chart updates on the spot.

It is a quick way to set short-term swings against the longer trend before you decide anything.

Convert RENDER and see the real cost

The calculator turns any amount of RENDER into dollars or euros instantly, and it works in reverse too. Alongside it sits an exchange fee calculator, so you can see what a trade really costs after fees and roughly how much RENDER you would end up with, not just the headline rate.

Historical Render data

Under historical data you can look back at past prices on any date, shown in dollars as the market standard, with the matching trading volume and market cap.

Riding the AI and DePIN wave

  • 2017: the RNDR token launches on Ethereum to fund a decentralised rendering marketplace.
  • 2020: the network goes live, connecting creators with GPU providers around the world.
  • 2023: the community votes to migrate to Solana and rebrand the token to RENDER, for faster and cheaper transactions.
  • March 2024: RENDER reaches its all-time high around 13 dollars, lifted by the boom in AI and decentralised infrastructure.
  • since: a pullback that leaves it well below that peak as the AI narrative cools and warms in cycles.

Render sits squarely in the DePIN trend, where crypto networks coordinate real-world hardware.

What moves the Render price?

The value of RENDER reflects supply and demand, with real GPU demand and the AI narrative both playing a large part. The main drivers:

Why the value climbs

  • Rising demand for GPU rendering and AI compute.
  • Momentum behind the AI and DePIN narratives.
  • Token burns tied to real network usage.
  • A strong crypto market and risk-on sentiment.

Why the value drops

  • A cooling AI narrative or rotation into other themes.
  • Competition from other compute networks and cloud providers.
  • Market-wide downturns or a global crisis.
  • A buy the rumour, sell the news reaction.

These are not the only factors, but they cover most of the moves. For more, follow our AI news and our broader altcoin news.
