Binance adds Aerodrome (AERO) to spot market with Seed Tag

Binance adds Aerodrome Finance to its spot market. The world’s largest crypto exchange will open trading in AERO, the native token of Aerodrome, on 17 July 2026 at 11:00 UTC. Binance applies its Seed Tag here, indicating that it is a relatively new or higher-risk asset.

Aerodrome is available at OKX and Bybit.

Three new trading pairs available

At launch, three spot trading pairs are immediately available: AERO/USDT, AERO/USDC and AERO/TRY. Deposits open one hour after trading begins, while withdrawals will only be possible on 18 July 2026 at 11:00 UTC. The listing itself incurs no fees, as the listing fee is set at 0 BNB.

The AERO smart contract runs on the Base network, the blockchain ecosystem supported by Coinbase. Base’s founder previously admitted to having made mistakes, but is now fully focusing on trading and payments. The listing on Binance gives the ecosystem a significant visibility boost.

What is Aerodrome Finance?

Aerodrome is the central decentralised liquidity platform on Base. The protocol acts as a kind of hub for liquidity within the network and attracts a large part of the trading volume on Base.

The AERO token fulfils two functions within the protocol. Firstly, it serves as a reward for liquidity providers who stake their crypto in Aerodrome’s liquidity pools. Secondly, AERO provides access to the protocol’s governance system via a vote-lock mechanism, where holders can lock their tokens to obtain voting rights on the future direction of the platform.
