On 16 June, the US spot ETFs for both Bitcoin and Ethereum showed positive inflow figures. Together, they attracted over $19 million in new capital, with BlackRock leading the way in both categories. This comes as the Bitcoin price currently stands at $64K, a decline of 2.6% in the past 24 hours.

BlackRock dominates Bitcoin ETF inflows

According to data from SoSoValue, the total net inflow into spot Bitcoin ETFs on 16 June was $10.06 million. BlackRock’s IBIT was by far the biggest driver, with a net inflow of $16.35 million. This means that other providers experienced net outflows on balance, but IBIT more than compensated for them.

The day before, Bitcoin ETFs had seen a total outflow of $64 million, as we reported earlier. The current inflow figures thus point to a cautious recovery in sentiment around institutional Bitcoin investments. Whether this will continue remains uncertain, as analysts such as Wintermute warn that the Bitcoin price could fall further, possibly towards $50.000,

Ethereum ETFs also show positive figures

Spot Ethereum ETFs also performed well on the same day. The total net inflow stood at $9.59 million. As with Bitcoin, it was BlackRock that stole the show: its ETHA fund attracted $17.34 million, leaving the rest of the field far behind.

It is a positive sign that both major cryptocurrencies are simultaneously seeing inflows via the ETF market. Despite the price pressure on Bitcoin, investors still appear willing to commit capital through regulated products. Whether this marks the beginning of a broader trend reversal, or merely a brief uptick following the recent record-negative Bitcoin demand, remains to be seen at this point.
