On 5 August, considerable funds are once again flowing into US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. Bitcoin ETFs collectively receive $244 million in net inflows, while Ethereum ETFs account for nearly $61 million. BlackRock tops the ranking in both cases.

Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.

In brief:

  • US spot Bitcoin ETFs record a net inflow of $244 million on 5 August, led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $197 million.
  • Spot Ethereum ETFs attract $60.86 million, of which $50.34 million via BlackRock’s ETHA.
  • BlackRock manages more than $15 trillion in assets worldwide, measured over the second quarter of 2026.

BlackRock dominates Bitcoin ETF inflows

Of the total inflow of $244 million into US spot Bitcoin ETFs, by far the largest share comes from BlackRock. The asset manager’s IBIT fund attracts $197 million on 5 August, leaving the rest of the market far behind. The figures come from data service SoSoValue.

This follows the inflow of more than $265 million that Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs already brought in a day earlier, on 4 August. Bitcoin is trading at $64.600 at the time of writing, up 0.7% over the past 24 hours.

Ethereum ETFs follow with strong inflows

Ethereum ETFs are also performing well on 5 August. Total net inflows amount to $60.86 million, with BlackRock again setting the tone. The ETHA fund is responsible for $50.34 million of that total, which amounts to more than 80% of the entire inflow in that category.

BlackRock’s strong position in both ETF segments is not surprising. The asset manager oversees more than $15 trillion in assets worldwide, measured over the second quarter of 2026, making it the largest in the world. That scale gives the company a clear advantage in attracting institutional investors seeking exposure to crypto through regulated products. Earlier, the Ethereum price already broke through a bullish resistance level, which may further fuel interest in Ethereum ETFs.
