Bitcoin is trading around $77.000 on 15 September 2026, down 1.4% over the past 24 hours. Analyst CrypNuevo says that his price analysis from the past 48 hours worked out well and expects the price to move significantly on Wednesday during the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, with a possible test of the local bottom as a result.

Bitcoin is available on Bitvavo and OKX.

In brief:

  • Bitcoin is around $77.000 and fell 1.4% over the past 24 hours
  • Analyst CrypNuevo expects significant price movement during the FOMC decision on Wednesday
  • According to his analysis, there is a strong chance that Bitcoin will revisit the local bottom around $75.500

Analysis points towards local bottom

Analyst CrypNuevo shares two charts on Bitcoin’s 4-hour timeframe. They show that the price made a recovery move towards the 50% level around $78.800, which he had already anticipated. That move played out exactly as he had expected.

Now that the recovery is complete, CrypNuevo expects a new downward move. The charts show a local bottom around $75.500 to $75.560, a level he identifies as the next possible target if the price falls further.

FOMC decision as catalyst

The Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision is scheduled for Wednesday. That decision often brings significant price movement in the financial markets, and Bitcoin usually cannot escape it either. Earlier this week we wrote about how Bitcoin entered Fed week around $77.000, and about the Ethereum long positions that were liquidated ahead of the FOMC.

CrypNuevo states that he has had a lot of success with the so-called wick fill strategy, in which he uses price levels from earlier spikes as reference points for future price movements. That is also the basis for his current expectation. Whether the price actually revisits the local bottom also depends in part on how the market reacts to the interest rate decision.
