Bitcoin price heading to $68.000 according to Michaël van de Poppe
The Bitcoin price currently stands at $64.500 and shows a modest gain of 0.8% over the past 24 hours. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe, known as @CryptoMichNL, sees this as the start of a larger upward movement and states that his first target zone is at $68.000.
Bitcoin is available at OKX and Bybit.
Fourth Test of $65.000 as Breakout Moment
Van de Poppe points to multiple support levels below the current price. According to him, these levels indicate a solid bottom and signal a strong rally ahead. The chart shows levels around $60.880 and $58.115, which serve as important support zones in case the price retreats.
Notably, his analysis focuses on the $65.000 level. Each time Bitcoin tests this level again, the likelihood of a definitive breakout increases. Van de Poppe indicates that the fourth test of $65.000 is the moment when the real breakout occurs.
Higher Target Zones in Sight
In addition to the immediate target zone of $68.000, the analyst also mentions $73.000 and $78.000 as subsequent targets. This aligns with earlier analyses suggesting that Bitcoin could linger around $60.000 this summer, although it now appears the market is seeking higher levels.
The chart shows that Bitcoin, after a steep decline towards early 2026, has now begun a recovery move. Having previously fallen back to around $62.700 after a failed breakout, the price now appears to be gathering strength again. Whether the rally actually continues towards the stated targets depends heavily on whether Bitcoin can hold the $65.000 level and confirm it as support.
