Large Bitcoin holders are rapidly depositing more coins on Binance as the correction in June continues sharply. The Bitcoin price currently stands at $62.500. a decline of about 14% in June. On-chain data from CryptoQuant shows that inflows from large parties to Binance have more than doubled in a short time, adding extra selling pressure to the market.

Bitcoin is available on OKX and Bybit.

Peak deposits of thousands of BTC on Binance

Analyst Darkfost shares striking figures on the behaviour of large players on Binance. In this analysis, parties that execute transactions of more than 100 BTC, equivalent to over $6 million per transaction, are considered whales. On 2 June, inflows from this group peaked at approximately 8,200 BTC, followed by over 6,400 BTC on 4 June. These are substantial amounts flowing to the exchange in a short period.

Over the longer term, the difference is even more clearly visible. In mid-April, the monthly average of whale inflows to Binance was still around 1,200 BTC. It has now risen to over 2,800 BTC, a doubling in just a few weeks. Similar levels were last seen when the Bitcoin price fell below $60.000 in early February.

Emotional risk management or strategic move?

According to Darkfost, this behaviour suggests that some large players are moving their Bitcoin to the exchange with the intention of selling. He describes it as emotional risk management rather than a well-considered strategic choice. This aligns with earlier signals that short-term holders are reaching their worst capitulation point of 2026 and that Bitcoin ETFs are seeing a record 13 consecutive days of outflows.

However, there is also a nuance. Historically, panic reactions from large parties often occur late, after a large part of the decline has already taken place. For those wanting to understand more about how whales influence the market, it can be seen that this kind of behaviour often marks a bottom rather than announcing further price drops. The Bitcoin price is currently touching the 200-day moving average, a historical bottom area, making the current levels especially interesting for those keeping an eye on the longer term.
