The Bittensor price is making a big jump. In 24 hours, the price of TAO rises by over 25.7% to $274.61. The reason? The US government is forcing Anthropic to postpone the launch of the new Fable 5 AI model. That measure leads to renewed interest in decentralised AI projects, with Bittensor as one of the biggest gainers.

Bittensor is available at OKX and Bybit.

Government intervenes with Anthropic

Anthropic, one of the biggest players in the world of artificial intelligence, is told by the US government that it may not release its latest model Fable 5 for the time being. This government intervention immediately draws the attention of the crypto market, as it raises questions about how far central authorities can go in regulating AI technology.

The measure appears to be a direct catalyst for the rise of TAO and other AI-related tokens. Investors seem to be anticipating a world in which centralised AI platforms increasingly face government interference, making alternatives outside the reach of regulators more attractive.

Decentralised AI gains relevance

Analyst Quinten François points out that TAO and other AI coins are rising as a direct reaction to the halting of Fable 5. According to him, decentralised AI becomes increasingly important as governments try to gain more control over traditional AI models.

Bittensor offers a decentralised network on which AI models are trained and rewarded via the TAO token, completely outside the sphere of influence of central parties. Now that a government like the US shows it is willing to actively block AI developments, the appeal of protocols that no one can simply shut down grows. TAO is trading at around $274.61 at the time of writing and ranks number 38 on the list of the largest cryptocurrencies.
