Bybit launches 24/7 options on SpaceX and NVIDIA shares
Bybit launches a new type of options product that allows users to trade options on stock perpetuals around the clock. The exchange says it is the world’s first provider of such a product. The first available markets are SpaceX (SPCX) and NVIDIA (NVDA), which go live on 17 September 2026 at 20:00 UTC. Tesla, QQQ, SOXL and MU will follow later.
In brief:
- Bybit introduces Perp Options, options based on stock perpetuals, as an industry first.
- SpaceX and NVIDIA are the first available markets, live from 17 September 2026.
- The product offers 24/7 trading, USDT settlement and full integration with the Unified Trading Account.
Options on stock perpetuals as an industry first
The new product is called Perp Options and combines the flexibility of options with the structure of perpetual contracts on stocks. Users therefore do not trade the shares themselves, but derivatives on them which run continuously without an expiry date on the underlying contract.
Bybit says it is the world’s first provider of this type of product. Settlement is entirely in USDT, meaning users are not exposed to token-based risks. The contract multiplier is set at 1, with no minimum requirement of one hundred shares, as is customary with traditional options.
Strategies and integration with existing products
Perp Options will be integrated into Bybit’s Unified Trading Account, allowing users to combine spot, perpetuals and options from a single account. Through Portfolio Margin, positions can also be used to reduce the total margin requirement by hedging positions against each other.
The exchange supports various options strategies, including spreads, straddles and covered calls. This makes the product suitable for both speculation and risk management. NVIDIA recently reported revenue of $96.2 billion, which makes the interest in exposure to the stock via crypto platforms understandable.
More markets to come later this year
Following the launch with SpaceX and NVIDIA, Bybit plans to expand the offering with Tesla, the QQQ ETF, SOXL and Micron Technology (MU) stock. Additional expiry dates will also become available for the existing markets.
The product is aimed at traders who want exposure to US equity markets, but prefer to do so from a crypto environment that is continuously available, including outside market hours and at weekends.
