Bybit officially launches local platform in Indonesia
Bybit officially enters the Indonesian market with the launch of Bybit Indonesia, a localised platform operating under the supervision of the Indonesian financial regulator OJK. The exchange builds on its earlier acquisition of a majority stake in the Indonesian crypto platform PT Enkripsi Teknologi Handal, formerly known as NOBI.
Phased rollout with more than 500 trading pairs
At the official launch, the platform directly supports more than 500 trading pairs. Bybit Indonesia also features institutional liquidity, market surveillance and risk management systems that comply with both local regulations and international standards, reports Jawapos.
Additional products are being rolled out gradually, in line with the regulator’s requirements. At the same time, the company is working on improved information disclosure and user protection. Daily operations, regulatory compliance and liaison with regulators are handled by a local management team, led by CEO Lawrence Samantha.
Education and user protection take centre stage
In addition to the technical and regulatory aspects, Bybit Indonesia is placing a strong emphasis on user education. Through initiatives such as Bybit Learn, the platform aims to increase digital literacy and make Indonesian users more aware of the risks associated with trading crypto.
Bybit’s entry into Indonesia fits a broader trend of major crypto exchanges actively expanding their presence in Asian growth markets. With an official license and a local team, Bybit positions itself as a reliable player for the millions of potential users in the country.
