Charles Schwab adds SOL, AVAX and LINK to crypto platform
Charles Schwab, one of the largest securities brokers in the United States, is adding Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX) and Chainlink (LINK) to its crypto trading platform Schwab Crypto. The three coins will become available to clients in the coming months. The platform, which officially launched in May 2026, already offers direct spot trading in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
In brief:
- Charles Schwab is expanding Schwab Crypto with Solana, Avalanche and Chainlink.
- The new coins will become available in the coming months alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum.
- Schwab wants to give clients more choice when building a digital portfolio.
Expansion follows shortly after launch in May 2026
Schwab Crypto launched in May 2026 and enables clients to trade directly in Bitcoin and Ethereum. The platform is managed through a banking subsidiary of Charles Schwab. With the addition of SOL, AVAX and LINK, the company is responding to client demand for a broader range of well-known cryptocurrencies.
As previously reported, Solana is also drawing considerable attention on other fronts. Its addition to the platform of a major US broker once again gives the network greater visibility among a wide audience.
Schwab wants to offer clients more choice
Joe Vietri, head of digital assets at Charles Schwab, explains that the expansion aligns with how the company wants to serve its clients. “With this expansion, clients gain more opportunities to build a digital portfolio, alongside the investment and banking services they already know from Schwab,” he says.
Vietri adds that the new coins are supported by an offering of education, tools and guidance, so that clients can make well-informed decisions about the role of crypto in their broader investment goals. The coins will be made available gradually in Schwab Crypto accounts over the coming months.
