Framework Ventures has pulled heavily on the investment tap. The venture capital firm has raised $400 million for its fourth fund and is expanding its focus into frontier technologies such as AI, robotics and energy. At the same time, its conviction in digital assets remains unchanged, with large positions in Hyperliquid, Plasma and Sky.

Hyperliquid currently stands at $63.56, a slight decline of 1.2% in the past 24 hours. Read more about the platform in our Hyperliquid review.

From crypto to a broader playing field

Framework Ventures, founded in 2019, was an early investor in projects such as Aave and Chainlink. The firm now manages an estimated $1.28 billion in assets, as measured in December 2025. With the new fund, Framework is moving towards broader technology sectors, without letting go of its crypto roots.

This is also evident from a recent investment. The firm is leading a $60 million investment round in Mecka AI, a physical AI company with clients from the Magnificent 7 and an expected annual revenue of $100 million. The crypto conviction and the new technology focus therefore go hand in hand.

Half of the fund already deployed

According to Fortune, roughly half of the new $400 million fund has already been invested. This indicates that Framework is actively looking for opportunities and is not sitting on the sidelines. The combination of proven crypto positions and new sectors such as robotics and energy gives the fund a broad profile.

For crypto investors, it is striking that Hyperliquid, Plasma and Sky are mentioned as core investments. With this, Framework sends a clear signal about which projects it sees as strong players over the long term.
