Michaël van de Poppe sees strength in altcoins after Bitcoin consolidation
Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe shares his optimistic view on the current market conditions. The analyst notes that Bitcoin is currently forming a consolidation pattern, which he believes is actually favourable for strong altcoins. Bitcoin is currently at $62.8K, with a drop of 0.4% in the past 24 hours.
Van de Poppe states that after a small correction and an immediate bounce, markets are regaining strength. According to him, coins like NEAR and Zcash (ZEC) are giving clear signals of strength, indicating that more projects could soon experience a resurgence.
Money flows to strong runners
The analyst explains that Bitcoin consolidation typically means investors redirect their capital back to the best-performing altcoins. We have seen this pattern frequently in the crypto market: when the largest cryptocurrency takes a breather, investors seek refuge in projects that have already proven themselves and show stability.
This dynamic suggests that projects like NEAR could return to their recent highs in the coming weeks. The current phase of consolidation and stabilisation then forms the perfect moment for a recovery of these altcoins.
Strength signals in the altcoin market
According to Van de Poppe, ZEC is showing particularly strong signals, indicating that the entire altcoin sector is building momentum. This type of broad strength at the end of a consolidation phase typically points to an upcoming rally. The analyst therefore expects investors to focus on these strong runners rather than on risky projects.
With Bitcoin stabilising and altcoins showing strength, the market appears to be preparing for the next phase of upward movement.
