Tron posts record figures in Q2 2026 with 1.1 billion transactions
The Tron network posted striking growth figures for the second quarter of 2026. The number of transactions rose to 1.1 billion, an increase of 12% compared with the previous quarter. At the same time, the number of developers deploying smart contracts grew strongly, partly owing to a cost reduction of around 60% following the implementation of Proposal #104 in August last year.
In brief
- Tron processed 1.1 billion transactions in Q2 2026, up 12% from Q1
- The number of developers rolling out contracts grew, partly thanks to a cost reduction of roughly 60% after Proposal #104
- The stablecoin supply on the network currently stands at $94 billion
Developer activity stands out
According to data shared by analyst JA_Maartun on X, the number of so-called developer commits in Q2 2026 rose by as much as 82% compared with the previous quarter. In total, the network recorded 561 such commits, pointing to a significant increase in developer commitment.
The number of parties deploying smart contracts on the Tron network stood at 10,200 in Q2. That marks a recovery after the relatively lower figure in Q1 and is part of a broader upward trend visible in the Token Terminal chart. Notably, the roughly 60% reduction in deployment costs resulting from Proposal #104 goes hand in hand with a rising number of contract deployers.
TVL and stablecoin supply remain high
The total value locked in the Tron network, also known as TVL, amounts to $28.15 billion. This keeps Tron one of the larger networks for decentralised financial applications.
The stablecoin supply on the network stood at $89 billion at the end of Q2 2026 and has since risen further to $94 billion. Tron is widely used for sending USDT, which explains the substantial volume of stablecoins in circulation. The TRX price currently stands at $0.33, an increase of 1.5% in the past 24 hours.
