Liquidations remain low despite volatility

According to CoinGlass data, $193.66 million worth of positions were liquidated in the past 24 hours. That level is currently considered low and shows that the market is recovering in a relatively controlled manner after last week’s heavy fluctuations, while the recent pressure on the Bitcoin price still receives attention.

Of the total amount, $102.26 million came from long positions and $91.41 million from short positions. In total, 96,796 traders were liquidated.

Bitcoin accounts for the largest liquidations at $38.39 million, followed by Ethereum with $26.47 million. The largest individual liquidation occurred on Binance and involved a BTCUSDT position worth $1.93 million. Additionally, traders are also taking into account developments such as the record-high open interest of Ethereum on Binance.

Although the recovery continues and several altcoins post strong gains, the extremely low Fear & Greed Index continues to indicate that investors remain cautious. The market thus shows a striking combination of rising prices and ongoing uncertainty. Some analysts point to signs that altcoins continue to perform relatively strongly during market downturns.
