BlackRock’s tokenised money market fund BUIDL is showing impressive growth on the Avalanche network. In one week, assets under management on Avalanche rose by approximately $436 million, an increase of 105%, pushing the fund past the $900 million mark. This makes BUIDL one of the largest on-chain tokenised US Treasury bond funds in the world.

Avalanche is available at OKX and Bybit.

BUIDL doubles in a week on Avalanche

According to data from RWA.xyz, the BUIDL fund on Avalanche now stands at $902.7 million in assets under management. That is a doubling from a week earlier, which clearly illustrates the growing interest in real world assets on blockchain networks. BlackRock launched BUIDL in March 2024 and the fund has since gained significant popularity among institutional investors.

The strong growth on Avalanche is notable, especially since the network is also attracting institutional attention on other fronts. For instance, Hyundai completed the first stablecoin transfer on Avalanche, showing that the network is increasingly serving as infrastructure for serious financial applications.

Total assets under management for BUIDL approaches $3 billion

Across all networks, BUIDL now manages approximately $2.87 billion in assets. Ethereum is by far the largest player with $1.02 billion, followed by Avalanche with $902.7 million and Solana with $616.6 million. BNB Chain stands at $245.7 million, while Optimism, Arbitrum, Aptos and Polygon each account for between $13 million and $26 million.

The growth of BUIDL fits into a broader trend in which RWA tokens are driving the next wave of crypto adoption. Traditional financial products such as Treasury bond funds are increasingly finding their way onto the blockchain, and BlackRock is proving with BUIDL that large asset managers are leading the way. The question now is which network will grow the fastest in the coming months in the battle for institutional capital.
